The National Insurance Company participates in the conference on the localization of the precious metals industry in Iraq
At the official invitation of the National Security Advisory and Al Nahrain Center for Strategic Studies the National Insurance Company participated in the conference on localizing the precious metals industry in Iraq which was held at Al Rasheed Hotel from twenty four January two thousand twenty six to twenty six January two thousand twenty six with the participation of a number of government entities and institutions from the public and private sectors
The conference aims to support and develop the precious metals industry especially gold through the project of establishing a Gold City which will include medium and large factories due to the significant economic and developmental importance of this city
The importance of the project is summarized in achieving four main objectives
Integrating thousands of participants from the informal economy into the formal economy in Iraq which contributes to increasing the gross domestic product and enhancing economic growth
Establishing an accurate database that enables identifying the actual volume of gold imports and exports
Raising the level of legal compliance in parallel with the banking reforms implemented by the Central Bank of Iraq
Gradually reducing the parallel economy in a way that positively reflects on supporting and serrving the national economy
The participation of the National Insurance Company comes in line with its orientation toward supporting strategic economic initiatives and projects that contribute to enhancin
